Pay-Hack

Democratization of the use of money using online payments has been a holy grail for many, for a while now. However, a considerable part of the country continues to have patchy connectivity, thereby excluding a large part of the population from the safety and convenience of being able to pay and receive money digitally. A lot of effort needs to go into making sure we address the issues related to making payments in situations with sub-optimal connectivity infrastructure.

Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur brings you “Pay-Hack”, a 36 Hour Hackathon, with total prize money worth INR 60,000 in association with PhonePe.
In keeping with the theme of this Hackathon ‘Innovation for Inclusion’, the project should center around solving problems to enable folks with limited or no connectivity to enjoy the perks of being able to use digital payments. The problem statement will be shared through email on 5th March, 2022. The duration to solve the problem is 36 hours.
